Women's Field Hockey Scholarships

海角论坛 offers some of the most competitive Sport Scholarships in the UK. Regardless of Sport, all Sport Scholars receive a comprehensive support package to help them reach their sporting and academic potential. The University is partnered with Uddingston Hockey Club to introduce enhanced Gold plus and Platinum scholarships with up to 40% tuition coverage. 

Field Hockey scholarships for talented and ambitious female hockey players from Scotland regarded as 鈥楬ome鈥� students for tuition fees purposes.鈥�

Selection criteria

As a guide, applicants should have at least Junior (U18) International experience, but with consideration also given to, for example:鈥�

  • Players competing for Clubs in the Scottish Hockey Premiership鈥�
  • Scotland Emerging Girls Brave Cup players鈥�
  • Scotland Aspiring Girls Brave Cup players鈥�

In addition, our Performance team may also identify potential hockey scholars during the admissions process. 鈥�

Level of study鈥�

Women's Hockey Scholarships for talented and ambitious female hockey players from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland regarded as 鈥榬est of uk鈥� (RUK) for tuition fees purposes. 鈥�

Selection Criteria 鈥�

As a guide, applicants should have at least Junior (U18) International experience, but with consideration also given to, for example:鈥�

  • Players competing for Clubs in the Euro Hockey League, or Euro Cup Trophy Divisions I or II鈥�
  • Players competing for Clubs in the Hockey Ireland EYHL Division I鈥�
  • Hockey Ireland U18 Interpros players鈥�
  • England Hockey U17 Talent Academy Centre players鈥�
  • Welsh Hockey U18 Regional Performance Centre players鈥嬧赌�

In addition, our Performance team may also identify potential hockey scholars during the admissions process. 鈥�

Level of Study鈥�

Women's Hockey Scholarships for talented and ambitious female hockey players from non-UK countries regarded as 鈥業nternational鈥� students for tuition fees purposes. 鈥�

Eligibility rules鈥�

UK University sports are regulated by British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS; Britain's equivalent of the NCAA). BUCS eligibility rules allow student-athletes to compete in BUCS for an unlimited number of years. As a result, ALL former University and College (incl. NCAA) athletes are eligible to compete for the University whilst studying for a postgraduate degree, regardless of the number of years they have previously played College / University sport.鈥嬧赌�

Selection criteria 鈥�

As a guide, applicants from FIH top 25 ranked countries should be of a least Junior (U18) International standard, but with consideration also given to, for example:鈥�

  • Players competing for Clubs in the Euro Hockey League, or Euro Cup Trophy Divisions I or II鈥�
  • South African U18 Provincial players鈥�
  • Indian Sub Junior or Junior Zonal Championship players鈥�
  • NCAA Div I or II players鈥�

In addition, our Performance team may also identify potential hockey scholars during the admissions process. 鈥�
