- Green, Brian (Principal Investigator) Breslin, Caroline (Principal Investigator)
- This project is a progression of the DCSC-funded Student Learning Footprint Datamart, Project. The delivered DataMart integrates micro-level data from university systems that contribute to and characterise the student learning footprint to provide the robust and sustainable institutional infrastructure to underpin the provision of a learning analytics system. This project will directly support e-FIRST (education 鈥 Future Innovation and Reflection on 海角论坛's Teaching), which builds on the Start of the Academic Year (SotAY) process at Faculty University-wide levels. This follow-on project will extend the DataMart and deliver Student Engagement and 海角论坛 Student Insight dashboards to understand and analyse students' engagement and learning behaviours and the associated implications for staff and their teaching practice. - This project aims to explore the employer role in delivering quality WBL in GAs. Within the QEF, GA providers are required to implement mechanisms to ensure effective arrangements are in place for managing academic standards and the quality of the student learning experience. HEIs must align to the UK Quality Code for Higher Education, which outlines the expectations and standards for managing the quality of provision and specific expectations for the delivery of degree level education. Provision is quality assured by the provider to be 鈥榗redible and secure鈥 both in academic terms and in the context of Graduate Apprenticeships, in relation to the WBL elements that take place in the workplace. This project examines and establishes best practice in three specific aspects of GAs:
鈥 Employer input to the design of the award;
鈥 Employer input into planning the WBL content;
鈥 Employer input into delivery.
The results will contribute to a broader QA project currently underway. - 01-Jan-2020 - 31-Jan-2020
